What is a Brigadeiro (Brazilian Chocolate Truffle)? Brigadeiros are bite-sized chocolate sweets. Some say they are truffles, others say bon-bons and a few think they come closer to fudge balls. Traditionally made of sweet condensed milk, chocolate powder and butter, t hey are hand rolled individually and then covered in chocolate sprinkles. Different toppings and flavors like white chocolate, coconut, tres leches, peanut butter and more are the latest trend in Brazil and are now called “gourmet brigadeiros”.
