Up for sale is a Korean "Dol Dweji" made of .999 pure fine gold. This 24k pig weighs 3.75 grams usually given to a baby on their 1st birthday as gifts. These items are not worn but are a gift and type of investment. On the under side of the pendant, 999 is stamped, marking its purity. The pendant is attached to a elastic red and blue band that represents the colors of South Korea. Below is a background of the dol tradition. Koreans have valued gold for centuries and it has been a long lived tradition to give out gold rings & pigs to babies celebrating their first birthday.
