Starbucks 2014 Limited Edition Sterling Silver Gift Card w/ Original Box & $50 Balance This handsome Limited Edition Starbucks 2014 Sterling Silver 0.925 Gift Card with original red gift box, red velvet pouch, and original $50 balance has been activated but has never been registered. Note that, unlike this one, many of the cards listed on Pricetronic have a $0 balance! This card is just as I received it when I purchased it at a Starbucks store on Nov. 13, 2014. The original receipt is included. The photos show the actual card (in some places the activation number or barcode has been blurred out) and gift box. This is the first precious metal card Starbucks has ever offered and had already sold out online by that date. The barista activated it with a barcode scanner so it's never been swiped. In fact, I don't think these cards can be swiped, so they can be used without being subjected to wear. The key ring is jewelry-quality Sterling silver too. This fully functional gift card can be used at Starbucks stores or kept as a collector's item if desired. If you register it you can then transfer the $50 balance electronically to another card. The original receipt from Starbucks is in the box. An unusual thing about this card is that unlike most it doesn't have protective plastic film on either side.  I'm not sure why that is.  I watched the barista take it out of its pouch and scan it to activate it and he didn't remove any film. Unless you request otherwise, an adult signature will be required for delivery.  Washington state residents pay 10% state and local sales tax.
